One activity that we have done so far in Digital Photo II is hadouken photography. This type of photography draws from video games like Street Fighter and Smash Bros. in order to capture a "video game like" aesthetic. In this project, I had my friends pose in classic video game fashions, like the "hadouken" or the "ground pound". I also tried some Star Wars poses, like the force choke, as well as a levitating double force choke.
Once I had taken the photos, I first edited them in Lightroom, boosting sharpness and contrast in order to make them more like video games. I also used the dodge tool aggressively in order to create a visualization of power. Then I imported the edited photos into Photoshop and added some more special effects.
